The Honorable Debbie Dingell and Honorable Dave Trott, Michigan’s U.S. Representatives of the 12th and 11th Districts, respectively, participated in a Detroit Economic Club discussion on Monday, October 17th. Some of the panel highlights included their thoughts on jobs and the economy, health care, immigration reform and the approaching U.S. Presidential election.

“I’m deeply disturbed by the state of our nation and the amount of rhetoric we’re witnessing,” said Congresswoman Dingell. “We’ve got to find a way to get back the civility and respect, and remind ourselves that we’re one community.”“I think the tone is unlike anything other in our lifetime,” said Congressman Trott. “If Speaker Ryan is the speaker, he’ll sit down with the President and we’ll figure out ways we can start to work together.”
