Bill Popp is the General Manager and Vice President of Dell’s East Region B to B Sales organization. The area is comprised of the 15 States from Michigan, east to Virginia and northeast to Maine. His customers include commercial, healthcare, life sciences, state and local government, and primary and secondary educational institutions throughout the region. Bill’s sales philosophy is focused on fostering close relationships with customers, and on enabling technology to solve their business problems. Mr. Popp previously was the Vice President of Dell’s G500 West Sales Region and had vertical responsibilities for manufacturing and high tech business solutions.
Mr. Popp joined Dell in 1997 from National Tech Team, where he was the Vice President of sales responsible for managing all aspects of National Tech Team’s sales organization throughout the United States. Prior to National Tech Team, Mr. Popp held several key leadership positions at Novell, Inc. and Lotus Development.
In his spare time, Mr. Popp is highly active in community efforts, and is a supporter of the Michigan Council of Women in Technology, is actively involved in community projects in Detroit and the state of Michigan, and is also a board member of the Detroit Economic Club. He has a personal interest in development of primary education institutions, and is a former board member and current supporter of Cornerstone Schools, a charter school network.
Mr. Popp has an electronic engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology
