About This Meeting

Wright Lassiter III, President & CEO of Henry Ford Health System; Tim Ryan, U.S. chairman and senior partner of PwC; and La June Montgomery Tabron, President & CEO of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation addressed the Detroit Economic Club on Monday, July 17, 2017, and reflected on the 50th anniversary of the events of 1967 and looked forward to the state of the city in 2067.

In a panel discussion led by Ron Fournier, publisher and editor of Crain’s Detroit Business, the panelists discussed how businesses can continue working together to keep the momentum moving forward as a united city.

“I am very optimistic,” said Ryan. “Our world has a number of challenges, but every one of those challenges is an opportunity. When I look at cities like Detroit, you have a lot what many other communities have. You have incredible talent and incredible leaders in both a civic and business perspective. Our challenge as leaders is to give them that opportunity and I think that Detroit can be a model.”
