Michelle is Willis Towers Watson’s market leader for Michigan and Northwest Ohio, responsible for market development, colleague engagement and office operations. In this role, Michelle leads more than 430 colleagues in our Michigan offices. She also manages key client relationships and is committed to client service. Michelle is the first female office leader in our Michigan office 70-year history.
Michelle has been with our company since 1994. She has more than 25 years of HR consulting experience and specializes in the areas of total rewards, retirement plan design & funding, employee wellbeing, the employee experience, MD&A and benefit harmonization. Her broad total reward expertise has been called on to align total rewards programs with overall business strategy as well as to provide special project consulting in connection with M&A integration activities and workforce management.
Michelle has worked with numerous Fortune 500 organizations across all industries, but has expertise in the health care, automotive and financial services industries.
Michelle has a passion for colleague development and has developed and implemented training programs to help colleagues develop soft skills in the areas of conflict resolution, client empathy and leadership development.
Education, Credentials and Achievements
Michelle received a B.S. in actuarial science and mathematics from the University of Michigan. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an enrolled actuary under ERISA and a member of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. In 2019, Michelle was named one of Crain’s Notable Women in HR.
Community Involvement
Michelle actively supports Special Olympics of Michigan and serves as the Chair of the Board. She received the President’s Award from Special Olympics in 2017. Michelle also serves on the board of the Detroit Economic Club and is on the Board of Trustees for Walsh College. She actively supports Alternatives for Girls and the American Heart Association.
