DEC members enjoy many different aspects of belonging to the Club. Here are just a few:
DEC luncheons provide a well-balanced variety of topics and speakers and events makes it a very thought provoking and intellectually stimulating group to be around. Most importantly, I have developed more valued, trusted and enjoyable personal and professional relationships through my membership in the DEC than in any other organization in town.
The Detroit Economic Club has become a tremendous benefit to me, both personally and professionally. Not only have I forged important business relationships and made new friends, but have heard thought provoking commentary and analysis from CEO's, heads of state and philanthropic leaders across the globe. In my opinion, no other forum in the area can provide these benefits at that cost.
I have been a member of the Detroit Economic Club since 2002. Membership in the club provides me with excellent information on a wide variety of issues affecting the economy. The membership has allowed me to network with a number of Michigan’s business leaders. This networking has been a valuable tool in growing my legal practice. In addition, I have developed good friendships with a number of younger executives, who I would not have met if it were not for my membership in the Detroit Economic Club.
Being a member of the Detroit Economic Club gives me access to the key stakeholders of the region. And with 90,000 MSU alumni living in Southeast Michigan, I am able to stay connected to our alumni.
I have been a DEC member since 1999. Before becoming a DEC member, I researched many organizations to find those that would provide the best environment to meet and build relationships with executives. The DEC has always been and continues to be the best. Being a DEC member has positively impacted my professional life by consistently providing a unique, nontraditional environment to meet with business leaders and develop strategic business partnerships which has resulted in new business opportunities and accelerated business performance. I also appreciate that the DEC provides opportunities to contribute to the community through its student luncheon program.
