How Can I Help?

Event Experience Committee

The purpose of the committee is to allow all members to derive maximum value from their membership and make the attendee experience best-in-class.

Utilized at regular DEC meetings, tasks include:

Speaker Reception Assistance (only for Gold/Life members):

  • Help get attendees from the waiting area into the Speaker Reception prior to speaker arrival
  • Greet, welcome and help introduce new members to others in the room
  • If receiving line, get attendees lined up before handshakes start

Network Café Assistance:

  • Introduce and converse with attendees
  • Help facilitate introductions between attendees
  • Assist in any questions that may arise

Head Table Assistance (at select meetings):

  • Help members find their seat at head table
  • If any head table attendees are no-shows, inform DEC staff during lunch
  • Be a friendly face

Greeter:

  • Welcome attendees in the lobby and direct them to registration
  • Greet and encourage non-members to consider membership
  • Greet student tables

Membership Ambassador:

  • Answer questions regarding potential membership
  • Consult with DEC staff if additional questions arise
  • Greet first-time member attendees

Committee members must secure their own tickets to meetings.

Any Committee member who volunteers for five regular DEC meetings over a calendar year will receive one complimentary ticket to use at a future regular meeting.
