About This Meeting

DEC Young Leaders asked for more professional development opportunities and that is exactly what they received on December 1, 2016 at The Masonic Temple in Detroit. 150 YLs participated in a half-day Dale Carnegie Detroit workshop titled Negotiations: Developing Personal & Professional Influence.

After networking and breakfast, YLs took a deep dive into negotiation skills where they learned to identify qualities of successful negotiators, generate win-win outcomes through planning and preparation and how to apply these approaches to achieve mutually beneficial results.

The seminar was high-energy, highly-interactive and very well received.

Afterwards, YLs received an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of The Masonic Temple and were thoroughly captivated by the majesty and intricacies of one of Detroit’s architectural gems.
