The Detroit Economic Club’s student programs provide an unparalleled experience for students to engage in thoughtful discussion with today’s local and national leaders and connect with DEC members.
Groups of high school and college students are invited to each DEC meeting, where they will participate in a private student-only reception with the speaker(s) of the day, enjoy lunch, and attend the program in a professional business networking environment.
Generous corporate sponsors underwrite the student table fee, allowing students and chaperones to attend meetings free of charge.
CRA is a six-month program that runs from December to May, connecting teams of young leaders with students from Southeast Michigan. It provides ongoing career mentorship and guidance to help them prepare for their future.
The DEC’s Scholarship Program assists students from Detroit and three surrounding counties in the pursuit of a college undergraduate education. A $2,000 renewable scholarship is awarded to two incoming freshmen each year and is expertly managed by the Community Foundation Southeast Michigan. Applicants must meet the criteria of academic achievement, leadership, unique life challenges, and financial needs.
