About This Meeting
DEC Young Leaders learned lessons in entrepreneurship and innovation at a lunch meeting with Jim Anderson, Founder, President & CEO, Urban Science. The sold-out meeting was held at Urban Science headquarters in Detroit on March 20, 2015.
Jim Anderson shared the story of Urban Science’s nearly four-decade-long journey and how innovation has played a key role in their continued success. He encouraged DEC Young Leaders to kindle their inner entrepreneurial spirit and to give back to the community once they have become successful as he and his wife have done with a generous gift to establish the Anderson Institute at Wayne State University.
A Q&A session followed with questions which included the adaptability of Urban Science products in non-automotive industries.
